Blackened Wind Weaves Patterns Hollow

Blackened wind weaves patterns hollow
Under barely breathing leaves
And a trembling little swallow
In dark skies a circle weaves.

Quietly argue in the heart
Dear, dying, mine despite,
An impending dusk apart
Of an ebbing ray of light.

And above the woods of dusk
Has arisen copper moon;
Why so little song, I ask,
And such silence in the lone?

With Obscurely Breathing Leaves

With obscurely breathing leaves
the black wind rustles
and a quivering swallow
draws a circle in the darkened sky.

In my affectionate dying heart
a quarrel drones
between the onset of the twilight
and a fading ray of light.

And above the evening of the wood
a copper moon has risen.
Why is there so little music
and such quietness?

Смутно-дышащими листьями
Черный ветер шелестит,
И трепещущая ласточка
В темном небе круг чертит.

Тихо спорят в сердце ласковом
Умирающем моем
Наступающие сумерки
С догорающим лучом.

И над лесом вечереющим
Встала медная луна;
Отчего так мало музыки
И такая тишина?
